Sheet metal design

Fit for all purposes

A significant portion of my day-to-day design work focuses on sheet metal components, ranging from small brackets and thin-gauge parts to complex architectural cladding, as illustrated in the accompanying images.

Within agricultural machinery design, this includes a wide variety of sheet metal components requiring folding, drilling, or machining, typically in thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 50 mm.

Projects

RC pit box

As RC buggy racing is my hobby, I have designed and had manufactured the “Doleman Dolly” 1/8th Nitro buggy carrier / pit buddy. This is the MK1 version shown in the photos.

With there only being a couple of other options on the market. I wanted something lightweight, strong and easy to clean.

Having worked for many years with aluminium, it seemed like an ideal material to make it from.

These are available to purchase – please get in contact if you are interested. They will be available to purchase from the web shop too soon.

Castle Mall (Norwich)

This cladding project was for Castle Mall in Norwich where I was required to work with a major construction firm to ensure the cladding met strict design, construction and engineering criteria.

If you have any projects you would like to discuss please feel free to get in touch via my contact page.
